The younger of the Wadali Brothers duo, Ustad Pyarelal Wadali, is no more. He was 75 years old.
The Sufi singer, who, with his brother Puranchand Wadali, was known for his famous compositions including the song Rangrez for Tanu Weds Manu suffered a heart attack late last night. After the heart attack, Pyarelal Wadali was immediately taken to Fortis Hospital in Amritsar, TheHushPost.com reveals.
He remained under the care of the doctors for another five hours, but was declared dead at 4 AM in the morning. The Wadali Brothers, who are fifth-generation Sufi singers, started their careers by singing at temple sangeet sammelans in Punjab. Apart from Sufi music, the brothers were also known to sing gurbani, kaafi, ghazal and bhajan songs.
