TV host Dua Malik is set to follow in her famous siblings' footsteps and is venturing into acting with A-Plus drama serial Khafa Khafa Zindagi.
The serial, directed by Asim Ali of Mere Qatil Mere Dildaar fame and produced by Sadia Jabbar, will see her in the role of a young woman named Amber who has to begrudgingly take care of the children of her divorced brother (Ali Safina) even though she hates him. Amber mistreats the kids under her care and karma gets her bad, Dua shares with Images.
"This drama will show the audience how you can't do wrong to your blood relations for a long time." Speaking about her first acting experience, Dua says, "Honestly speaking, I've attentively watched only one drama, which was Mere Qatil Mere Dildaar, because [my husband] Sohail Haider won the OST award for that. I wanted to see what it was like and I cried my heart out. I prayed that whenever I do acting, I work with Asim Ali and I think that clicked."
Dua sees a bright future ahead of her: "Acting was always meant to be my final destination. I'm now done with settling family at a very young age and promise to hit the screens with a bang and fulfil the expectations people have of me due to my siblings. In the end, it runs in the family." Khafa Khafa Zindagi airs every Wednesday at 8pm on A-Plus.
