Priyanka, who was seen as Jyothika in Tamil TV show Vamsam starring Ramya Krishnan in the lead, has reportedly committed suicide at her Valasaravakkam residence. Her maid found her hanging from the fan. According to India Today, the suicide could be the outcome of a family dispute.
Priyanka has been married for a while and yet to conceive. It is said that it was the biggest bone of contention in her family. Nothing is known for certain as of yet. The body has been sent for post-mortem and investigation is on to find out why she took such an extreme step. The actor was part of teleserials such as Apoorva Ragangal, Bairavi, on Sun TV.
Tamil industry has been facing a lot of tragic and shocking deaths in the last couple of years. The News Minute reports that in 2016, TV actor Sai Prashanth was found dead at his residence. He had consumed poison and left behind a suicide note. Later in 2017, 29-year-old television show host and serial actor Sabarna Anand committed suicide.
