[Pakistan – Monday 05th March,2012] Following Ufone Uth Records 2.0 artist Jarar Malik, this week the televised youth music platform is set to feature talented artist Affaq Mushtaq on the 10thof March 2012.
A resident of Rawalpindi, Affaq has previously worked as a session musician at ATV and also as a singer on PTV and currently performs at Monal, an Islamabad based restaurant along with his brother.Affaq Mushtaq will be performing ‘Angunn’ at Ufone Uth Records 2.0,an original composition of his father the late Master Mushtaq, who was a music composer for PTV.For ‘Angunn’, Affaq Mushtaq is accompanied by iconic guitarist Amir Zaki and drummer extraordinaire Louis J‘Gumby’ Pinto on drums, in addition to singing, theversatile Affaq also plays the Tabla, Flute, Keyboard, Harmonium& Guitar.
Speaking about Affaq Mushtaq on the Ufone Uth Records platform Akbar Khan – Chief Marketing Officer at Ufone said: “Through Ufone Uth Records 2.0 Episode Three, we have endeavoured to showcase the diverse talents of Pakistan’s youth – Affaq is distinct from a lot of youth based artists as his music has very strong traditional influences. About Affaq Mushtaq:
Affaq Mushtaq is a young musician from Rawalpindi who has been involved with music since an early age owing to his exposure through his father, the Late Master Mushtaq, and his musical career as a composer on PTV. At the tender age of only 21, Affaq has already dedicated 15 years of his life to following his father’s footsteps. Working as a session musician with ATV and as singer with PTV, Affaq’s hope is that Ufone Uth Records 2.0 will provide him the platform he needs to showcase his talents.
Affaq’s musical talents are not restricted to his vocals but also extend to playing the Tabla, Flute, Keyboard, Harmonium& Guitar. It is this versatility that has provided him with the liberty to choose the style and sound of his own compositions.
At Ufone Uth Records 2.0 Affaq will be performing, his song ‘Angunn’ and will also be collaborating with the iconic Pakistani artist Aamir Zaki.
